Gianni Savio's Androni-Sidermec team has confirmed the signing, for four years, of Colombian Egan Arley Bernal (1997), silver and bronze madeallist at the last two mountain bike Junior World Championships.
Bernal was born on January 13, 1997 in Zipaquirá (Cundinamarca) .The Italian team reveals that the Colombian showed "exceptional values" in the tests and demonstrated his qualities by winning the only race he has done in Italy "Sognando il Giro delle Fiandre."
Colombia is the current number one in the UCI Mountain Bike rankings in the junior category. In 2015, Bernal won the bronze medal at the Worlds in Andorra, 19 seconds behind winner Simon Andreassen from Denmark and German Maximilian Brandl. And last year, he won the silver medal in Norway.
Luca Pacioni, Mirko Selvaggi (Wanty-Gobert), Davide Viganò (Team Idea) and Daniele Ratto (UnitedHealthcare) are the other four additions confirmed by Androni.
Franco Pellizotti, Marco Bandiera, Marco Benfatto, Francesco Chicchi, Tiziano Dall'Antonia, Marco Frapporti, Alberto Nardin, Alessio Taliani and Serghei Ţvetcov will continue after spending 2015 with the team.
