NetApp-Endura sprinter Daniel Schorn has clearly hit some great form for the second part of the season. One day after sprinting to fourth in stage 2, he finished seventh in the Tour of Denmark queen stage.
After yesterday’s fourth-place finish, Daniel Schorn performed well again today during the principal stage of the Tour of Denmark, which was from Skanderborg to Vejle. The Austrian riding for Team NetApp – Endura placed a strong seventh at the end of the 175 kilometers. Manuele Boaro (Tinkoff Saxo) won the stage 12 seconds ahead of his teammate Matti Breschel and Tjesj Benoot (Lotto Belisol). Today’s stage winner also now leads in the general classification, and Schorn was able to move up to eighth place overall.
“Today was dangerous from the very beginning because time and again groups managed to attack. But we were represented in each of those groups. Our guys did a very good job. In the final part of the race, Daniel showed that he is one of the best riders here because today’s result reflects very clearly the current relative strength among the riders,” said Sport Director André Schulze, showing complete satisfaction with his riders’ performances.
