Sergio Henao is one of the future stars on Team Sky and now another Henao is set to join forces with the strong Colombian. According to Biciciclismo, his cousin Sebastian has signed with the British team while another climber, Andre Cardoso, will join Garmin-Sharp.

Team Sky has started a process of bolstering the team of climbers for the coming season and recently announced the signing of Philip Deignan. According to Biciciclismo, the squad's next major signing is 20-year old Sebastian Henao who is the cousin of Sky rider Sergio Henao.

Sergio has long been regarded as one of the biggest stage race talents in the world and even though his Vuelta campaign has unraveled, Sky still plans to develop him into a leading grand tour contender and recently extended his contract for three years. The team has now spotted the similar kind of talent in his near family and has offered his cousin a two-year contract.

Sebastian who has been part of the Colombia-Coldeportes team this season, recently finished as best U23 rider in the Vuelta a Colombia and last year finished on the podium in the Vuelta a la Juventud and the Vuelta al Porvenir, the two biggest Colombian U23 races. He hopes to be selected for the U23 world championships for the second year in a row.

Garmin-Sharp is also in the process of strengthening the support of their stage race stars. According to Biciciclismo, the team has signed a contract with the 29-year-old Portuguese rider Andre Cardoso who is currently riding the Vuelta a Espana with the Caja Rural team.

The Portuguese made the world aware of his talents when he won a stage and finished 2nd overall in the 2011 Volta a Portugal and signed a contract with his current squad prior to the 2012 season. He has a difficult first season but ended the season on a high note by finishing 21st in the Vuelta.

This year he has revealed the true extent of his potential by finishing 13th in the Giro del Trentino, 4th in the Vuelta a Asturias, 6th in the Tour of Norway and 5th in the Vuelta a Burgos. He has raced really well in the Pyrenean stages of the Vuelta and was the last rider to get dropped by stage winner Alexandre Geniez (FDJ) on yesterday's queen stage.

Neither Sky not Garmin have confirmed the signings.
