The Vuelta a Espana course which will be presented on Saturday is still taking shape. Marca can report that the race will visit a new summit finish in Capileira on stage 7.

The village of Capileira in Alpujarras will host another new summit finish in the Vuelta a Espana.

"It will be the seventh stage and it will visit Alpujarras because this Granada mountain range has applied to become a World Heritage Site by Unesco," reveals sports daily Marca .

According to Marca, the stage will be 180km long with a start in Jódar (Jaén) and "it will finish in the village of Capileira, following a climb that is longer than the first summit finishes in Andalusia, Caminito del Rey and Vejer de la Frontera."

Known uphill finishes are Caminito del Rey (stage 2), Vejer de la Frontera (4), Capileira (7), Cumbre del Sol (9), Andorra (11), Fuente del Chivo (14), Sotres (15) and Ermita del Alba (16). As the course is reported to have 9 summit finish, one is still unknown but it is expected to be Cazorla in stage 6. There will be two time trials: one in Puerto Banus (stage 1) and one in Burgos (stage 17).
