The 69th edition of the Grand Prix d'Isbergues was won by Nacer Bouhanni. After a very fast race in northern France André Looij sprinted to 9th place. It was an excellent result as he had to change bike in the finale.

Having done the first one and a half hour at an average of more than 48 kilometers per hour, there was finally a leading group. Due to the work of Cofidis and IAM Cycling, the escapees never received much space. Sjoerd van Ginneken went into a counter-attack, but he got no space either.

In the local circuits, there were some attempts to escape, but the high speed made it impossible. "At that stage I had to deal with a problem with my handlebars," Looij said about his mechanical setback. "With the help of Mike Terpstra I could come back just in time for the sprint. Reinier Honig put me into a good position and I was good right after the first corner. Unfortunately, I was a bit boxed in so much more than 9th place was not possible today."

With that result, Looij was the best Dutchman in the 1.1 race of the Coupe de France. Sjoerd van Ginneken finished a strong race in 22nd place.
