French Arnaud Démare will not be present at the start of Paris-Roubaix. The 2016 Milan-San Remo winner explained on social networks that he is still suffering from the effects of his crash at the Tour of Flanders.
The FDJ rider came down in a crash shortly before the peloton reached the cobbled section at Haaghoek, with a little over 100 kilometres remaining.
Démare loves Paris-Roubaix whichis one of his favourite races. He finished 12th place in the 2015 edition and could be the frist French rider to win 'L'Enfer du Nord' since 1997 with Frédéric Guesdon.
Giro d'Italia will be the next race for Démare.
