Bad news for the FDJ team. Marc Madiot lost his best rider for the Giro d’Italia general classification. Indeed, Arnold Jeannesson crashed and suffered many injuries. The 29 year-old man fell heavily on his face suffering a broken tooth and grazing to his face, hands and knees.
Jeannesson ran three times the three-week race (2009, 2010 and 2013), but he is only finishing on his first attempt (52th).
FDJ will bet for the Italian race on Alexandre Geniez, Arnaud Courteille, Kenny Elissonde, Murilo Fischer, Johan Le Bon, Francis Mourey, Cédric Pineau, Anthony Roux and Jussi Veikkanen.
