David Arroyo finished second place in the final stage of the Giro del Trentino. The Caja Rural-Seguros RGA rider was beaten by Paolo Tiralongo (Astana) in the final sprint from a 3-rider break. The team was very active throughout the day and David Arroyo sought his opportunities to bring the race to a successful end.

"It was a tough race, I managed to be present in the right break and fight for the stage," he said. "I missed a bit of punch to win but the second place gives us strength for the next races where we have to get more wins. Pello [Bilbao] led the way in Castilla y León and now we have to continue our work to continue the streak.

"This result gives me moral and confidence for the upcoming race, and even more so after the Volta a Catalunya and Vuelta al Pais Vasco that did not go as I expected.
