Fabio Aru is already preparing for the Giro d’Italia. The rider of Astana these days is in fact trying the paths of some stages of the Giro, including that of the Treviso-Valdobbiadene ITT, that now, as reported in an interview with Tuttosport makes the Sardinian more optimistic: "it is long, long, but now that I've seen I'm a bit more optimistic. For two hours I prepared with Paolo Slongo and Maurizio Mazzoleni. We rode the stage meter by meter, and repeating the filming on harder parts, like lasy year. The first part is pretty much flat while the second half is quite moving and can create some problems to pure specialists. You have to know how to manage and distribute your energy very well."
The climber from San Gavino Monreale then also spoke of the possibility of participating in the Tour de France in 2015 after the Giro: "I gave my approval. Of course we will have to check with the team on the condition I have finished the Giro with. Last year Scarponi did the Giro and Tour, but I'm younger and I don’t have all of his experience. However, we will talk about it all together again next week, at a meeting with Astana in the Canary Islands."
