Astana have extended the contracts of three of their strong domestiques. Andriy Grivko, Laurens De Vreese and Dmitriy Gruzdev will all be riding for the Kazakh team in 2016.
Grivko and Gruzdev have earned themselves a reputation as support riders in grand tours where they have played key roles for Vincenzo Nibali in the flat stages of the 2014 and 2015 Tours de France. Both are good time triallists too. Grivko usually gets his own chance to shine in the Eneco Tour where he has finished in the top 4 twice in a row. He is currently trying to continue that streak.
De Vreese joined the team for the 2015 and has been a solid domestique in the classics. Next year he is again expected to ride in support of Lars Boom in the cobbled races.
De Vreese, Gruzdev and Grivko are all riding the Eneco Tour at the moment.
