BMC Racing Team's Ben Hermans finished 11th Sunday at the Tour de Suisse to remain 32 seconds out of the lead as Kristijan Durasek (Lampre-Merida) soloed to the stage win.
Hermans, who is 16th overall, finished in a group of nine that was 10 seconds behind a group of eight riders that could not catch Durasek at the end of the 161.-kilometer race.
Saturday's prologue winner Tom Dumoulin (Team Giant-Shimano) kept the overall lead seven seconds ahead of Geraint Thomas (Team Sky). Greg Van Avermaet was the BMC Racing Team's next finisher in 25th place, 1:01 back. He is 19th overall.
BMC Racing Team's Darwin Atapuma crashed, but was not seriously hurt. However, he lost 2:19 and is now 45th in the standings.
