David Per and Domen Novak were at the first training Camp in Poreč where BAHRAIN MERIDA Pro Cycling Team had a first gathering with many activities to prepare them for the first season.
David Per, 21 years of age, is a Slovenian professional road cyclist who turned professional in 2014. He is a two-time National Junior Champion and two-time National Under-23 Time Trial Champion 2013 and 2015. This year he won Ronde van Vlaanderen Beloften, which gave a sign of a future successful career in the BAHRAIN MERIDA Pro Cycling Team.
After the first camp, Per said:
“Team spent our first three days together in a beautiful Valamar Diamant Hotel where we all enjoyed our first meeting. The hotel offers professional sports services and facilities, a beautiful SPA area with pool and modern hotel gym where we had a chance to spent great time together. I have a very positive feeling of the team, we got along very well, everybody is very joyful, motivated and focused and we had so much fun together with a lot of laugh and good vibe. I feel great and I expect a successful season. I know I have to learn a lot and that is a team where I will for sure get the best out of it from my experienced team-mates. I will give my best to help the team and to my team-mates that we as BAHRAIN MERIDA Pro Cycling team will be successful."
Domen Novak, at his age of 21, is a young Slovenian rider who won the white jersey at the Tour of Croatia and finished 6th at the same Tour. His 3rd place at Tour of Malopolska gives a definite sign that his new team can expect great results from the talent in the coming season.
After the first camp of BAHRAIN MERIDA Pro Cycling Team, hesaid:
“I am positively surprised due to the big names from the cycling world in our team. My team-mates who are big stars accepted me generously and I feel great to be part of such a big team. The team is organized very well from the every single aspect. I think we have all what we will need next year to achieve great results. My personal goal is to help as much as I can to the team and to get as much experiences as possible from my great team-mates.”
