Bardiani-CSF has received good news from Aigle, the headquarters of the International Cycling Union (UCI). Bruno Reverberi and Roberto Reverberi’s Italian team will continue at the Professional Continental level in the 2016 season.
The team has confirmed the news via social media. Four teams, CCC Sprandi -Polkowice (Poland), Direct Energie (France), Bardiani-CSF and Southeast (Italy) did not pass the final examination of the UCI that asked them to appear before the License Commission in Switzerland.
The roster consists of 17 riders, all Italian and with an average age of 23.5 years: Simone Andreetta, Enrico Barbin, Nicola Boem, Manuel Bongiorno, Giulio Ciccone, Sonny Colbrelli, Luca Chirico, Mirco Maestri, Stefano Pirazzi, Lorenzo Rota, Nicola Ruffoni, Paolo Simion, Luca Sterbini, Simone Sterbini, Alessandro Tonelli, Simone Velasco and Edoardo Zardini. Stefano Zanatta joins the group of sports directors.
"No problem," said Bruno Reverberi a week ago when asked about the license situation. Androni-Sidermec and Nippo-Vini Fantini are the other two Italian teams from the Second Division while we still await more news about the Southeast team.
UPDATE: Southeast have announced that they have also been granted their Pro Continental license.
