While the first month of races is going to finish and an important spring season is approaching, Bardiani-CSF has set up a new training camp (from February 23 to 26 around Riotorto, Tuscany) to get ready in the best way.
Led by team coach Claudio Cucinotta, eight riders will be present - Sonny Colbrelli, Stefano Pirazzi, Edoardo Zardini, Manuel Bongiorno, Simone Andreeetta, Enrico Barbin, Lorenzo Rota and Alessandro Tonelli.
Three riders - in addition to the ones selected for the Tour de Langkawi - won’t attend the the camp. Due to intestinal problems, Nicola Boem will stay at home to recover. Luca Sterbini, who crashed heavily at La Mediterraneenne, has just recovered and started training few days ago. Simone Velasco, following the consultation with team doctor Giampaolo Benini, has faced a week of rest due to the flare-up of the mononucleosis suffered in 2015. The young rider just started training gradually but the date of his his debut among the professionals can’t be decided yet as he waits for new clinical examinations.
