Bardiani – CSF is ready to return to racing in Italy at the Trofeo Matteotti, a one-day race of 195km on Sunday 19th July in the city of Pescara. Bardiani will be led by Enrico Battaglin, who finished 3rd two years ago.
“We go to Pescara with a mix between riders from the Tour of Austria and others from the Giro d’Italia. We will focus on Battaglin but also on Barbin and Piechele. They can do well in this race which we expect will end with a reduced bunch sprint. Trofeo Matteotti is one of the few Italian summer events, so we have to be in the action,” Roberto Reverberi, team manager of Bardiani, said.
The 68th Trofeo Matteotti is held on a circuit of 15km that will be covered 13 times, for a total of 195km. On the route there are a few short climb, the last being Montesilvano Colle with 7km to go.
