Bardiani-CSF is ready for the first race in their home country. On Sunday, February 7, the #GreenTeam will be at the start for the 21st edition of Gran Premio Costa degli Etruschi, a 190 km road race in Tuscany starting from San Vincenzo and finishing in Donoratico (UCI Europe Tour, category 1.1). Their 2015 top result was taken by Sonny Colbrelli who finished 5th.
Bardiani-CSF, led by Bruno Reverberi and team coach Claudio Cucinotta, will be at the start with Stefano Pirazzi, Manuel Bongiorno, Edoardo Zardini, Luca Chirico, Alessandro Tonelli and neo-professional riders Giulio Ciccone, Lorenzo Rota and Simone Velasco.
The eight riders will face their seasonal debut after two training camps on the route of GP Costa degli Etruschi - the first in the middle of January and the second during the current week.
“It’s a tricky race with a very unpredictable finale” said Bruno Reverberi. “We won’t leave anything untried to try to win. We have a few riders with attacking features, but we have to be ready also to control the race and not to leave any room to surprising breakaways. I know it’s the first race of the season for our guys but this is not an alibi. I want to see all the riders doing their best to start the season in the best way possible."
