After yesterday's Amstel Gold Race, Bardiani – CSF is already back in Italy to take part in the traditional Italian stage race Giro del Trentino to be held from the 20th to the 23th of April. It is an always challenging event that is perfect for climbers who can use the race to prepare for the Giro d'Italia.

For this reason the Green Team leaders in the Trentino mountains will be Manuel Bongiorno, Stefano Pirazzi and Edoardo Zardini: a strong trio that aim to stage wins and a good position in the general classification.

”The Giro del Trentino continues to be a key race for our team, where we always achieved great results in recent years, like the stage victory of Zardini in 2014. Zardini, Bongiorno and Pirazzi will find enough climbs to highlight their skills. The line-up is completed by a some talented guys like Chirico plus home rider Piechele. All of them will be a key support for our leaders," manager Roberto Reverberi said.

”I came back from a long period of altitude training on Etna with Zardini. We had a positive training schedule to be at the top for the Giro d’Italia. Giro del Trentino is of course important for me and the entire team. My goals are to test my shape, get confidence with the race pace and do my best in the two mountain stages," Bongiorno said.
