After crashing out of the Amgen Tour of California, Warren Barguil is busy preparing for his upcoming season goals at Team Giant-Alpecin's training camp in Sierra Nevada (Esp).
“This is a moment to update on my situation since the Amgen Tour of California, where I had to abandon after a crash at stage 2, suffering from a large wound above the knee, which has been healed in the meantime.
“Everything is going well again, as I am busy training in Sierra Nevada, southern Spain at more than 2000m (2320m exactly). My altitude training camp lasts 20 days, nearly three weeks, its a good way to prepare for upcoming season goals.
“The first days were, how to say ‘cool’, quiet without too much intensity. After the body got used to the altitude, we started heavy outputs with high intensity blocks.
“About the weather, I can tell you that it is very hot, sometimes even too hot, but hey we have to work hard and suffer to achieve our goals.”
