Romain Zingle is suffering from a heart problem. "No more races for me at the moment," said Zingle who will be riding with Cofidis for the sixth consecutive year.
Romain Zingle discovered the heart problems during a recent training camp with his team.
Alain Deloeil, sports director at Cofidis, explained the situation in an interview with Sporza. "His heart rate was not coming down again and he stopped immediately. The team doctor accompanied him in the investigations."
Zingle underwent an MRI scan and it revealed the problem. "I have been diagnosed with an inflammation in heart chamber and now have to undergo more tests. No races for me at the moment," the Belgian wrote on Twitter.
