Belgian national team manager, Carlo Bomans, has announced the names of the seven riders that will aim to defend Philippe Gilbert’s rainbow jersey in Florence on September 29th.

 

In his title defense on the hilly parcours in Italy, Gilbert (BMC Racing Team) will be assisted by BMC team mate Greg Van Avermaet, Jan Bakelants (RadioShack-Leopard), Gianni Meersman (Omega Pharma-Quick Step), Björn Leukemans (Vacansoleil-DCM), Dries Devenyns (Omega Pharma-Quick Step) and Johan Vansummeren (Garmin-Sharp).
