In the 7th stage of the Tour of Turkey, 168 km from Selçuk to Izmir, the Southeast team has been protagonist, with Andrea Dal Col and Samuele Conti to catch the breakaway, with Ramon Carretero until the last climb, and Eugert Zhupa until the finish, in order to help the two sprinters Alessandro Petacchi and Manuel Belletti. The latter finished 4th place.

“A wonderful team today,” said the sports directors Giuseppe Di Fresco and Andrea Bardelli. “We obtained the 4th place but we worked very well. Dal Col, Conti, Carretero, and Zhupa were very good. We were with three riders at the finish and the 4th place of Belletti means the team has done a great work. The work with Petacchi is perfect and Manuel is very fine. Tomorrow the last stage will finish in Istanbul, and maybe we will try with Alessandro…“
