Big teamwork from the Southeast team delivered Manuel Belletti to the win in the GP Costal degli Etruschi.

The 29-year-old sprinter is one of the new riders of the Tuscan team for the 2015 season. He was supported by Francesco Gavazzi and defending champion Simone Ponzi in the final sprint. Elia Favilli crashed and arrived 3 minutes later. Suffering from bronchitis, Alessandro Petacchi was dropped with 40km to go.

"The team worked well," Belletti said. "Francesco Gavazzi and Simone Ponzi helped me in the sprint. They sacrificed their own ambitions and their results for me. I thank them, Angelo [Citracca, manager] and all the team staff for their trust. And I thank those who didn't trust me because today I showed that they were wrong.

"Today it was my turn, tomorrow it will be a chance for another."

The win was Southeast's first victory in Italy and the fourth of the 2015 season.
