Sprinter Manuel Belletti is one of several riders who may have to end their careers. Having been forced to leave Androni-Venezuela, the Italian is still hopeful that he will be able to find a new team for the coming season.

Manuel Belletti is still looking for a contract for next season. The Italian sprinter did not get his contract with Androni-Venezuela extended and i now looking for a new team.

Belletti has posted a message on his Facebook page, making it clear that he has just finished "a difficult year" with "lots of bad luck and no momentum" and with "more setbacks than pleasure." He only managed to win a single race, the final stage of the Tour de Limousin.

However, Belletti wants to "hold his head high" and claims to have "a clear conscience", knwoing that he has "always been 100% committed." The Italian emphasizes that he "loves the sport" and he hopes that he can continue his work.

Belletti grew to fame when he won a stage at the 2010 Giro d'Italia. He rode a few years at the WorldTour level with Ag2r before he joined Androni for the 2014 season. He now hopes to find a new team for the coming season.
