The UCI has announced yesterday that Norwegian city of Bergen will be a host city of the World Championships in 2017, being chosen over Melbourne and Bogota.
Last time the World Championships took place in Norway in 1993, when Lance Armstrong won the Worlds title in Oslo. Before the event returns to this Scandinavian country, though, it will be held outside Europe in 2015 and 2016, in Richmond and Qatar respectively.
