Edvald Boasson Hagen has shown great condition this month. He won the individual time trial at the Tour of Qatar last week and gave a further demonstration of his potential in Oman at Quriyat. He hopes to have the same legs this spring for the classics. "I can't give a percentage on my form, but it feels good now and afterwards it will get better I hope," the Dimension Data rider told Cyclingnews.

After his win at Gent-Wevelgem, everybody described him as a future great classics rider. But his results have been far from impressive (10th at 2015 Milan-San Remo, 3rd at 2014 Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, 9th at 2013 E3 Harelbeke and 5th at 2012 Gent-Wevelgem and 8th at 2011 Kuurne-Bruxelles-Kuurne).

This year his main goal will be to shine on the cobbles. "Paris-Roubaix is the one I really want to win but all the Classics are really big and they come one after the other, so it's good to have good form for that period, and just try to do a good race each time. I've never done really well in Roubaix but it's still the one I'd like to do well in, but we'll see. I haven't reconned it this year but I've done it a few times now and I know all the cobblestone sections", he concluded.
