Edvald Boasson Hagen will gamble and try to shine once again in the Northern Classics in 2014, after failing to live up to expectations since coming to Sky in 2010.
His schedue is as follows, according to Procycling.no: Challenge de Mallorca, Tour of Oman, Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, Kuurne -Brussels- Kuurne, Tirreno -Adriatico, Milan -San Remo, E3 Harelbeke, Ghent -Wevelgem, Tour of Flanders and Paris -Roubaix. Unlike the past two years, will not contest the Tour Down Under and will focus more on training.
Last year, his best finish in the classic pavé was 9th in the E3 Prijs Vlaanderen – Harelbeke. He was 17th in Flanders and Roubaix 47th. Since his victory in the 2009 Ghent Wevelgem at just 22 years old, he has not had a Classics win since.
Now he has added 23 wins to the British squad to be a basic part in the Tour de France, especially in the 2012 and the triumph of Wiggins, he won two stages, and has raised his arms with wins in Tirreno- Adriatico and the Dauphiné, he won in the Eneco Tour last year, and has added one day wins in the Vattenfall Cyclassics and GP Plouay, besides being a multiple national champion for Norway.
