An 8-man CCC Sprandi Polkowice roster is heading to the Netherlands to race in two events held in the province of Drenthe – Albert Achterhes Pet Ronde van Drenthe and Energiewacht Dwars door Drenthe.

"The fastest riders from the  team will compete in those races. There are a couple of sprinters and riders who feel comfortable in the undulating terrain. Basically there are no totally flat parts and the route is all up-and-down. Sections of cobblestone and crosswind should also make the selection. Not only the strongest riders  will fight for the podium spots but also those who are concentrated and present at the front of the group in the decisive moments," Piotr Wadecki, sport director of CCC Sprandi Polkowice, said.

Both Dutch events are similar in terms of the course and the distance – almost 200km. In the previous years they often ended with a sprint from a small group and many times most of the peloton was not able to complete the race. The weather is often a big factor. In 2013 Energiewacht Dwars door Drenthe was cancelled due to heavy snow.

Grega Bole will be the leader of the “orange team”. The Slovenian made the podium in Albert Achterhes Pet Ronde van Drenthe in 2009, when he claimed 3rd place. He was the second fastest man in the bunch, which arrived 48 seconds after the winner, Maurizio Biondo. At the beginning of the 2015 season Bole showed his good form by taking twice 3rd place on the stages of Vuelta a Andalucia Ruta Ciclista Del Sol and by finishing 7th overall in Dubai Tour.

Lineup for Albert Achterhes Pet Ronde van Drenthe  and Energiewacht Dwars door Drenthe:

Grega Bole, Adrian Kurek, Tomasz Kiendyś, Jarosław Marycz, Mateusz Taciak, Grzegorz Stępniak, Nikolay Mihaylov, Christian Delle Stelle
