From the 17th to 24th of May, LAMPRE-MERIDA will take part in the Tour of Japan, a charming appointment which take place in the same period of the Giro d'Italia.

At the start of the race which will have a Criterium in Sakai as an appetizer, the blue-fuchsia-green team will have a selection that is characterized by the youthness and the enthusiasm  Bonifazio, Conti, Mario Costa, Feng, Koshevoy and Pibernik. Bruno Vicino will direct the team.

In Japan, Bonifazio obtained his first victory as pro last year, making the double in Tokyo in the final stage of the Tour of Japan: Nick the Quick will be motivated for hunting wins in the sprints. There will be two young climbers in Conti and Koshevoy, in addition to an all-rounder like Pibernik.

Mario Costa will be asked to play the same important role he played in the Tour of Turkey in assistance of winner  Durasek.
