Following several demanding races in southern Europe, the Blanco Pro Cycling Team will be present in Flanders in the E3 Harelbeke on Friday and Gent-Wevelgem on Sunday with the following line-ups: Lars Boom, David Tanner, Rick Flens, Jos van Emden, Maarten Tjallingii, Sep Vanmarcke, Maarten Wynants and Mark Renshaw.
Lars Boom will be the leader in both races and although the Tour of Flanders and the Paris-Roubaix may rank higher on his list of priorities, Boom is quick to assert that he will not treat this week’s races as his personal training gym.
“I am looking forward to it” said Boom, who added, “After Tirreno-Adriatico, my fitness is as it should be. I don’t want anybody thinking that I see the E3 and Gent-Wevelgem as warm-ups. Whilst they might be races better suited to the sprinters, I am still out to win them”.
Don't forget that Cyclingquotes.com will be bringing you live coverage of both the E3 Harelbeke and the Gent-Wevelgem.
