Lars Boom is pleased with his performance at the World Cyclo-Cross Championships. He started from 59th place and finished 14th "I never stopped fighting," the former world champion told Omroep Brabant.
"On Boxing Day I was not physically well and it was not my circuit. It was better now," said the rider from Astana about his comeback race at the World Cup in Heusden-Zolder where he finished last.
Boom enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere at the Worlds.
"It is nice to to do a race without the pressure of being a favourite. The level today was super high, but that's normal. It's the top of the top."
