Tom Boonen (Etixx - Quick-Step) is recovering after his crash in October in Abu Dhabi. Last Saturday he took part in a mountain bike ride near his home in Mol (and he posed for a photo with youth rider Ben Baele). And on Sunday he was one of 1350 mountain bikers who took part in the the 22nd Veldtoertocht  in Rotselaar. It is a tough race of 46 kilometers where everyone starts when he wants and completes the hilly course with 600m of climbing at his own pace.

Since early this month, Tom Boonen has been back on the bike after his heavy crash in which he suffered a fracture of the temporal bone. The possibility exists that Boonen will participate in Boonen & Friends  on November 28, the cyclo-race in which riders race on the beach of Zilvermeer in Mol for a good cause.
