Tom Boonen has decided to skip the Vuelta a Espana in his preparation for the World Championships in Richmond.

 

He'll be riding the Eneco Tour (August 10-17) and the Vattenfall Cyclassics (August 23) in Hamburg. The next part of his schedule is still not decided.

 

If he is selected for the world team time trial championships, he is likely to do the Canadian WorldTour races in Quebec and Montreal. If not, he prefers the Tour of Britain as his final preparation.
