As expected, Theo Bos will travel to the Track World Cup in Hong Kong in January. TheDimension Dat rider who announced that he will focus fully on the track last week, will do the team sprint with Roy van den Berg and Matthijs Büchli.
The regular team sprint trio (Nils van 't Hoenderdaal, Jeffrey Hoofland, Hugo Haak) will ride in Rotterdam one week earlier in Rotterdam and will not travel to Asia. The announcement has been made on the website of the National Federation. National coach René Wolff lets Bos return to the track for the first time since he turned his attention to the road in 2008. BMX'er and track sprinter van den Berg is a new addition.
Bos and Van den Berg have both announced their intention to get selected for the Rio Olympics. Wolff recently told Wielerflits that he is pleased to have more candidates for the spots. "If he (Bos, ed) can prove to be of value for the team, he is welcome. It's my job to put together the fastest team."
The World Cup in Hong Kong will take place on January 16-17.
