Theo Bos still dreams of competing at the Olympic Games in Rio in 2016. “The Rio book is still not closed to me," the triple world sprint champion told Wielerrevue.
The 31-year-old sprinter from MTN Qhubeka trained in the summer of 2014 for some time with the national team pursuit, but during the European Track Championships in Guadeloupe, it went wrong for Bos. “The training actually went pretty well. Thus I was very content, but the tournament itself was not really one to write home about."
The Dutchman was afterwards obviously disappointed with his performance, but can now also use a bit of perspective. “It was an outside job, that perhaps was not a good reflection of where I was actually. I would still like to train once with it, get a chance at a normal velodrome and see if I can add value to the team."
