David Boucher will ride for the continental Crelan-Vastgoedservice team in 2016. The Dutchman, a naturalized Frenchman, had to leave FDJ in a dramatic way when he failed to obey to team orders.
35-year-old Boucher was sent home from the Eneco Tour when he twice joined breakaways despite being asked to work for team leader Arnaud Demare. According manager Marc Madiot, he failed to follow the instructions of the team management and so didn't do any racing after the Dutch-Belgian stage race.
"Now I prefer to concentrate on the coming year. I never learned to win in the pro ranks. This year will be a good opportunity to do so," he tweeted.
