Maxime Bouet (AG2R) crashed in final kilometres of the 5th stage of the Tour de France from Cagnes-sur-Mer to Marseille on Wednesday.
The X-ray examinations revealed a displaced articular fracture of the lower end of the left radius (forearm). This injury requires 45 days of immobilization to heal the fracture and consequently Bouet has been compelled to abandon the Tour de France.
