Cofidis finished last in the Criterium du Dauphiné team time trial but for sprinter Nacer Bouhanni it was still a good day as he took the green jersey after Sacha Modolo abandoned the race.

"I had a good team time trial but I stopped my effort with 3km to go, together with Geoffrey Soupe, so we can save some energy for tomorrow," We finished slowly," he said. "Now I have the green jersey but it's stage victories that matter in my mind. I hope there'll a bunch sprint at Sisteron. It'll be a long stage but it's not a very hard one even though there are some hills."
