Bradley Wiggins will publish a book. The former Tour de France winner tells the inside story of his successful Hour Record attempt. The British rider set a new record of 54.526km in the Lee Valley Velodrome in London on June 7, smashing the record of 52.937km set by fellow British rider Alex Dowsett the previous month.

According to British medias, the book is called ‘My Hour’ and will be published in Britain by Yellow Jersey Press on November 19. Wiggins published a first autobiography in 2012 after winning the Tour de France and taking a gold medal in the individual time trial at the London Olympics. "The Hour record is such a pure thing. There are no ifs or buts. It’s torturous, and unforgiving; to get up there and do it, to put yourself on the line takes courage. It’s a mental game as much as anything."

He added: "I’m incredibly proud to be in the company of the other cycling greats who have tackled this record. My book shows you exactly what I went through and it’s a tribute to those guys who’ve gone before me."
