Funvic Soul Cycles-Carrefour will be suspended until February 12, 2017. The disciplinary committee of the UCI has made their decision the pro continental team was involved in three doping cases within a twelve-month period.
The Brazilian formation has been given a suspension of 55 days that started on December 19, 2016. Until the end of the suspension, the team cannot take part in any international event.
Last season,Wilson Rincon and João Gaspar against tested position at the Volta a Portugal. Earlier in the year their teammate Kléber Ramos had already tested positive at the Olympics. The trio tested positive for Cera.
Funvic is still trying to obtain a new pro continental license for 2017 under the name Soul Brasil. The application is still under consideration.
