According to Cycling Weekly, Bradley Wiggins will be joined in 2015 by new European individual pursuit champion Andy Tennant and Olympic Academy graduate Mark Christian.

Wiggins is expected to be setting up a Continental ranked squad to aid his transition from the road to the track while still allowing him to compete at events like Paris-Roubaix. Many people believe he will leave Sky after the conclusion of Roubaix on April 12.

While some of Britain’s other track stars wont be joining Wiggins due to contracts with other teams, such as Ed Clancy and Owain Doull, Tennant and Christian are believed to be the team’s first two signings.

“I’m moving on from Raleigh for next year anyway,” said Christian, who had also ridden for AnPost-Sean Kelly since graduating from the BC Academy, when asked about his plans for 2015.

“A couple of weeks after the Commies, I had an email from Paul Manning via [GB technical director] Shane Sutton, who said they had looked at my performances at the Games and throughout the year on the road,” Christian explained.

“There was an opportunity for them to bring me back in to the track team, starting with the build-up to the Euros and aiming for selection at the Worlds next year.”

27-year-old Tennant has ridden with Madison-Genesis for the last two seasons but was not offered a new deal according to Cycling Weekly. Full details of “Team Wiggins” are expected to be released in November.
