Yesterday Katusha lost their first rider in the Tour de France when Egor Silin crashed out of the race. The Russian has been diagnosed with a broken collarbone and will undergo surgery today.
After a medical check, a fracture of the left collarbone with a displacement was diagnosed to Katusha’s rider Egor Silin, who crashed today with 79 km to the finish of stage 6 of the Tour de France.
Today Silin will undergo surgery in the hospital at Reims. Egor Silin will spend the weekend in the hospital under the supervision of the doctors.
