After several years as a key part of the Belkin lead-out train, Graeme Brown has decided to leave Europe. In 2015, the Australian will be riding for a team in his home country.
Graeme Brown leaves Belkin and returns to Australia. Via Strava, the 35-year-old Australian reports that he will travel home in December and start ridingfor a team there. Which team Brown will be joining is not yet known.
In 2002, the sprinter started his professional career at the Italian Panaria-Fiordo where he rode for four years. Since 2006, Brown has been riding for the Rabobank/Blanco/Belkin team. In recent seasons, he often played the role of domestique in the sprint train but in the past, he was a prolific winner himself, winning 9 stages of the Tour de Langkawi and three stage in the Tour Down Under. He also has stage wins in Murcia, Poland and California on his palmares. much as did Brown win nine stages in the Tour of Langkawi, and also in the Tour Down Under, he was successful three times.
His last victory dates back to July 2010 when he won the final stage of the Tour of Austria.
