While the future of Europcar training in the World Tour is uncertain, Bryan Coquard has already unveiled his main objectives for the coming season. The French sprinter should take the departure of two Grand Tours, including the Giro d'Italia and the Tour de France, where he would like to win a stage win.

Currently present in London, where he participated at the Track World Cup, Bryan Coquard told Cyclingnews that he would participate in the World Championships in his favorite discipline, in the spring, before turning to the rest of the road season. "Short term I'd like to race the track Worlds but next year on the road I think I want to do the Giro d'Italia and the Tour de France. I rode this year's Tour and it was a good race for me overall. I think it's possible that I can go better next year with the changes they've made to the points jersey. The aim of course is to win a stage though."

He knows his schedule for the beginning of the season: Etoile de Bessèges, Bessèges – where he won two stages in 2014 – Paris-Nice, Catalunya and the Tour of Romandie. He will then take a short break before the Giro d’Italia in May.

"This year I learnt how difficult a big race like the Tour de France. Recuperation and recovery are really important. I'm small, and after the mountains I found just how important recovery was for sprinting. I feel stronger having done the Tour though."
