After several years at the Caja Rural team, Spanish climber Marcos Garcia is set to ride in Portugal in 2014. According to Portuguese media, he is set to be one of the leaders of a reinforced Louletano team.
According to the Portuguese press, the Louletano team will have a new sponsor for next season which will allow them to improve their budget significantly. The name of Marcos Garcia is mentioned as a likely reinforcement after the Spanish climber was not offered a new contract by Caja Rural and the 27-year-old is in search of a new team for next season.
Jorge Piedade's team will have Ray as its main sponsor as the energy drink wants to enter the Poruguese market. After Hernani Broco - Garcia's former Caja Rural teammate - has decided to end his career, Louletano will be led by Vicente Garcia de Mateos and Sandro Pinto who finished in the top 10 in the 2014 Volta ao Portugal.
