This Thursday, in Casa de la Cultura de Burlada (Pamplona, Spain), Caja Rural - Seguros RGA presented the 19 riders who will represent the green team colors and Fuji bikes in the races this year. The youth, women and U23 teams were also presented on stage for the fans, sponsors and media attending the event. The 2016 season will be the seventh season in the professional peloton for Caja Rural - Seguros RGA after its return in 2010.

Last year, the team had its best season on the road so far with 17 victories and it didn’t take many days of racing in 2016 before a Caja Rural - Seguros RGA rider crossed the line first. It happened in France when Ángel Madrazo won stage 4 of Etoile de Bessèges. Due to its many good results the team has already been invited to Tirreno-Adriatico. This will be the first time Caja Rural – Seguros RGA takes part in the Italian World Tour stage race. Vuelta a España, Vuelta al País Vasco, Volta a Catalunya and Clásica de San Sebastián are more of the team’s main goals in 2016.

One of the big topics at the team presentation was the prize draw for a Fuji Transonic bike. It is the same model the Caja Rural - Seguros RGA rider use this year and not surprisingly, the fans attending the presentation - and those following it via live streaming - were very eager to win this prize.

Juanma Hernández (Caja Rural - Seguros RGA mánager) said: "2015 was a fantastic season where we had great results and always stayed true to our values. We start this new season continuing on the same path, giving our young riders a chance to shine and to grow.  I want to thank all the sponsors for their support of the team: Caja Rural, Seguros RGA, Fuji Bikes and the rest of the companies who make all this possible. On a sporting level, it will be difficult to repeat last year’s results but we will work hard and do our best to make it to the Vuelta a España once again where we hope to win a stage”.

Ricardo Goñi (Caja Rural director) added: "For Caja Rural, it’s a pleasure to be with the team for another year. It’s a team where the group is the most important thing and where the victories belong to everybody. The fans can easily identify themselves with good values of the team and so can Caja Rural. We are convinced that the team will continue to grow with the same nobility, dedication and ambition as shown so far”.

The Caja Rural – Seguros RGA riders will continue the 2016 season this weekend when the team takes part in Vuelta a Murcia and Clásica de Almería with the following lineups:

Vuelta a Murcia (February 13): Carlos Barbero, Miguel Ángel Benito, Hugh Carthy, Jonathan Lastra, Lluis Mas, Sergio Pardilla y Jaime Rosón.

Clásica de Almería (February 14): Carlos Barbero, Miguel Ángel Benito, Hugh Carthy, Jonathan Lastra, Lluis Mas, Sergio Pardilla y Jaime Rosón.
