Caja Rural - Seguros RGA has a busy and important weekend coming up with no less than four races in three different countries. On Saturday, the team will take on the Spanish one-day World Tour race, Clásica San Sebastián, while Circuito de Getxo (Spain) and RideLondon Classic (UK) await the riders on Sunday. Meanwhile, the team is still racing in Volta a Portugal both days.

Sports director Eugenio Goikoetxea will direct the team at the two Spanish races:

“This is a very good weekend for the team. Clásica San Sebastián is one of the most prestigious races on our calendar. Furthermore, it takes place on our home roads. We will let our presence in the race be known and give back to our fans all the support they show us during the season. Circuito de Getxo is also an important race for the team. We always fight for the win here and this year will be no different. For both races, we can count on a strong group of riders who just finished an altitude training camp in order to be ready for this second part of the season”.

Team Manager Juan Manuel Hernandez will be the leaders at RideLondon Classic:

“This is the team’s UK debut and what better way to start than with RideLondon Classic. It’s very strong field with a rider such as the recent Tour de France winner, Chris Froome. We go to the race with a young team, which is very eager to perform and show off the green colors. Hugh Carthy has made Caja Rural - Seguros RGA known in the UK this season. Now, we want to continue to show our riders’ strong fighting spirit”.

For Iker Azkarate and Jon Irisarri, RideLondon Classic serves as their debut for Caja Rural - Seguros RGA after joining the team as stagiaires for the remaining part of the season.

Line-ups:
Clásica San Sebastián: David Arroyo, Sergio Pardilla, Lluis Mas, Jaime Rosón, Hugh Carthy, Ángel Madrazo, Pello Bilbao & Carlos Barbero.

Circuito de Getxo: David Arroyo, Sergio Pardilla, Lluis Mas, Jaime Rosón, Hugh Carthy, Ángel Madrazo, Pello Bilbao & Carlos Barbero.
