Caja Rural will make their season debut on home soil today when they line up at the first race of the Challenge Mallorca series. On Sunday the team will be in action in France at the GP la Marseillaise.
The Spanish team has announced its rosters for its first two events. In Spain they will be at the start with Lluis Mas, David Arroyo, Sergio Pardilla, José Gonçalves, Ricardo Vilela, Eduard Prades, Francesco Lasca, Antonio Molina, Hugh Carthy and Heiner Parra. The team may use different line-ups for the four one-day races in the series and will probably rely on Francesco Lasca for the two sprint races while David Arroyo, Sergio Pardilla, Ricardo Vilela, Eduard Prades and Hugh Carty will test themselves in the hillier races.
Amets Txurruka, Pello Bilbao, Omar Fraile, Angel Madrazo, Fabrizio Ferrari, Carlos Barbero, Fernando Grijalva and Miguel Ángel Benito will be the riders for the GP la Marseillaise which could suit Carlos Barbero who will make his debut with the team. The same 8 riders will be at the start of the Etoile de Besseges which starts on Wednesday and in that race the team will probably try to achieve some sprint success with Barbero.
