Fabian Cancellara will not defend his Swiss national time trial title to focus on the road race on Sunday and the Tour de France, which starts in eleven days.

 

Cancellara won the national TT title no less than ten times since 2002, but will not take part in the event over 39 km in Lausanne tomorrow (Wednesday, June 24). Instead, he will take additional rest after a taxing Tour de Suisse and closing time trial and prepare for his next goal, which is the National road race on Sunday in Steinmaur, near Zürich.
