The Cannondale-Garmin Pro Cycling team finished the Tour de France with numerous breakaway efforts, close finishes and Andrew Talansky climbing to eleventh on the general classification.
The final stage into Paris was the usual ceremonial approach until the laps of the Champs-Elysees where Ramunas Navardauskas sprinted for a top-ten on the stage.
Talansky’s ascent of the overall came thanks to multiple breakaway rides and a near-win on stage 17 into Pra-Loup. The Green Argyle animated many of the final stages in the Alps along with Ryder Hesjedal, Dan Martin, Navardauskas and Dylan Van Baarle each driving the main breakaways.
On stage 20 it was Hesjedal providing much of the race’s drama, climbing l’Alpe d’Huez to a podium result.
Speaking of dramatic racing, Dan Martin provided plenty with two second place and a fourth on the tough Mur de Huy.
