Etixx - Quick-Step has announced the selection that will participate in 240km Gent - Wevelgem on Sunday. The UCI WorldTour race, considered a sprinter's Classic, includes nine Belgian climbs (hellingen) between the Casselberg, Catsberg, Baneberg, Kemmelberg, and Monteberg from Deinze to Wevelgem.
It will be the second cobbled classic of the spring classics season for the English sprinter Mark Cavendish after he finished 61st in the Dwars Door Vlaanderen. He will definitely be hoping for a better result in Gent-Wevelgem which is one of his big goals for the spring.
He will be joined by Zdenek Stybar and Niki Terpstra who will be ready to seize the opportunity of the race turns out to be a selective one.
At the start for Etixx - Quick-Step will be a strong team in anticipation of a potential sprint including Mark Cavendish, Zdenek Stybar, Niki Terpstra, Nikolas Maes, Matteo Trentin, Stijn Vandenbergh, Martin Velits, and Lukasz Wisniowski.
